Movie Review:

The movie is a 1979 periodical movie. Director Vishwak Khanderao made an entertaining attempt to show the effects of Skylab on the lives of Gauri, Anand, and Rama Rao in Banda Lingapally, Karimnagar district at that time. The director’s effort in choosing such a brand new subject for the first time is to be approved. However, it must be said that it failed to show on the screen that there was an intended point. Although the story is good .. the story goes on slowly but tests the patience of the audience. The story never progresses, however, especially in the First half. Comedy didn’t even work out that well.

If you want to increase the speed of the story in the second half .. that’s all there. Going on as a slog .. boring. In the climax scenes, however, the dialogues are good. Also, the attempt to show the underlying discrimination between human beings at that time was good.  Prashant R Vihari’s music is good.  The rural atmosphere of 1979 is wonderfully shown on screen.  All in all .. even if the ‘Skylab‌’ experiment fails the effort is good.

When it comes to the cast, Sarah Ali Khan played the role of Rink very eloquently. The role of the Tamil lad he played is nowhere to be seen as odd. On occasion, the director spoke to the character in Tamil. As always Dhanush‌ performed his natural acting.

Dhanush’s parents as Samyukta (Nitya Ravindran), Anand Babu. Dimple Hahathi, who has acted in several Telugu films, played the role of his girlfriend Mandakini. The other lead roles were played by both Tamil and Hindi actors. A. R. The music provided by Rahman is just fine. But the lack of a single song on his level is kind of a minus!
