Skylab is a sci-fi thriller directed by Vishwak Khanderao. The film stars Rahul Ramakrishna along with Satya Dev and Nithya Menon in the lead roles and many other roles. Music by Prashant R Vihari, cinematography by Aditya Jawwadi and editing by Ravi Teja Girijala. The film is being produced by Prithvi Pinnamaraju.

Movie Story:
The film is set in 1979. Gauri character performed by Nithya Menen hails from Bandalingampally village in Karimnagar district. She challenges her father to keep the news in her name forever. However, the magazine’s editor fired her, saying that her writing was of no benefit to the magazine except for the difficulties. Gauri is waiting for a good story to prove herself as a writer. Dr. Anand as Satyadev from the same village is suspended and comes to Sonthuri to try to set up a clinic. But he is a little more selfish. Always thinks about money.
The grandfather in dispute wants to sell the land. These three are stuck in a separate problem .. waiting for a break. At the same time. The news comes that the American space laboratory Skylab launched by NASA will take over the earth and the earth will be destroyed. Rumor has it that it takes place directly in Banda Linga. What changes took place in the lives of the villagers at that time? Did Skylab really fall in the village of Bandalingampally? That is the whole story of Skylab.

Movie Review:
The movie is a 1979 periodical movie. Director Vishwak Khanderao made an entertaining attempt to show the effects of Skylab on the lives of Gauri, Anand, and Rama Rao in Banda Lingapally, Karimnagar district at that time. The director’s effort in choosing such a brand new subject for the first time is to be approved. However, it must be said that it failed to show on the screen that there was an intended point. Although the story is good .. the story goes on slowly but tests the patience of the audience. The story never progresses, however, especially in the First half. Comedy didn’t even work out that well.
If you want to increase the speed of the story in the second half .. that’s all there. Going on as a slog .. boring. In the climax scenes, however, the dialogues are good. Also, the attempt to show the underlying discrimination between human beings at that time was good. Prashant R Vihari’s music is good. The rural atmosphere of 1979 is wonderfully shown on screen. All in all .. even if the ‘Skylab’ experiment fails the effort is good.
