Review of Writer Padmabhushan Movie
Writer Padmabhushan” is a sentiment drama with a profound message, although it initially presents itself as a romantic comedy. The story takes place in Vijayawada, and it’s about a young man who dreams of being a famous author. His efforts to promote his book and gain fame provide comedic material. The first half of the movie takes its time and focuses on these aspects. There are a lot of repetitive sequences that ruin the first half of the film. Furthermore, the events make us wonder if the story is set in the 1980s. Because, in today’s world, no father would happily marry off his daughter to a Telugu writer with limited financial means.
Writer and first-time director Shanmukha Prasanth wants his audience to believe that Writer Padmabhushan is the coming-of-age story of its protagonist who wants to be one of the best writers in contemporary Telugu literature. In the process, he also packs in a social commentary and pulls a surprise that makes the film, soaked in fun moments until then, moving and emotional. He gets ample support from Suhas who essays the title character and Rohini who plays his mother, to make an imperfect film strike the right notes.
To tell the truth, a Telugu author must front the cash for book printing and promotion. Telugu authors can forget about becoming well-known; they must instead give away free copies of their books to close friends and family. When the hero’s blog goes viral and his estranged uncle agrees to let him marry his daughter, the city of Vijayawada is depicted in the film as erupting in celebration. Such scenes prove that the director has no knowledge on current situation of the Telugu literary world.
Even the girl’s supposed attraction to this author isn’t convincing. Despite a few amusing moments, the film’s first half fails to engage viewers. Final act of “Writer Padmabhushan” has a surprising twist and an emotional angle, and the film as a whole depends on it. The plot twist is integral to the film’s overall message (We are not mentioning it to avoid spoilers). The message is strong, and the emotional sequences are handled well. This final section and the message make up for the uninteresting opening sequences “Writer Padmabhushan. In the end, the film turns out to be a pretty decent one.

This isn’t a Sequel, It’s a Standalone film! The Story revolves around Lord Krishna like as the team revealed it before. Although the film is good, there aren’t much notable thrilling elements like the previous one but is engaging..
It shows that lord Krishna is not a myth, it’s history. And of course it is. Bollywood is no where near to South movies. What I like about South movies is they never never compromise with Indian culture. The way they respect our Sanatan culture is incredible. Superb performances from Nikhil Siddharth and Anupama Parmeshwaran. And a cameo by our own Kher Saab.. evergreen as always. What a comeback after Kashmir Files. One of the scene where he explains about Lord Krishna gives goosebumps for sure. One more thing about South movies is their background score.. which is simply awesome.
Krishna tattva concept is well executed. It is difficult to tell our reality or history these days and times. Yet, the script is well thought through and directed well. The cast did an excellent job. So proud that we are taking movies with meaningful, purposeful and beneficial content. As a family, we all could watch it together and talk about it extensively. Children loved it too. Thanks to the team for bringing our content to us and for the next generation in a way we can consume these days. Looking forward to Karthikeya 3.
The story moves forward naturally and does not have exaggerated scenes and over-emotional acting. It’s an excellent watch in theatres and I would go again with my family till the time it is in theatres. Definitely recommended to the viewers. The person sitting next to me in the theatres couldn’t understand the few scientific elements in certain scenes and just scoffed like an ignorant. Please work with your scientific minds, you’ll definitely get the logic.
